Reading between the lines
Reading between the lines, 2011, cedar, 130 x 25 x 25
The decision for a specific topic usually results from strong, personal experience.
Mostly this is due to a sudden visual or emotional experience.
Sometimes I have an intense relation to a special topic which I want to be made visible in my statues. This experience I want to communicate to the viewer by concentration on the artistic representation.
My figurative way of sculpting is due to my claim of being easily understood by the viewer.
